Der AFC Geneva Whoppers hat Swiss American Football (SAF) am Freitagabend über den Rückzug aus der Nationalliga B informiert, personelle Probleme machen eine weitere Teilnahme am Ligabetrieb unmöglich.
Zu diesem Fall hat SAF ein Verfahren eröffnet, mit folgenden Konsequenzen ist zu rechnen:
- Eine Ersatzabgabe an die Heimteams der ausstehenden Auswärtsspiele, in der Höhe gemäss den Reglementen.
- Die gespielten Spiele werden annulliert und aus dem Ranking gelöscht.
Folgende Spiele werden abgesagt:
18.05. Luzern Lions - Geneva Whoppers
24.05. Argovia Pirates - Geneva Whoppers
07.06. Geneva Whoppers - Argovia Pirates
15.06. Geneva Whoppers - Langenthal Invaders
Mit einem Forfait und nun dem Rückzug aus der NLB sind die personellen Probleme bei den Whoppers klar ersichtlich. Um solche Fälle in Zukunft zu vermeiden, wird die Team- und Ligastruktur ein Hauptpunkt der Tackle Konferenz im Herbst sein.

Wiht a forfeit an now a withdrawal, the Whoppers' personnel problems are clear.
To avoid such cases in the future, team and league structures will be a major focus of the Tackle Conference this fall.
