Flag Football YEC 2025 in Innsbruck: Both Swiss Youth National teams amongst top-10 teams in Europe

Our SWISS NEXT GEN Program ist bearing initial fruits:  Both Swiss National Teams came in amongst the top 10 European teams at the European Youth Championships in Flag Football, which took place from Sep 3 to Sep 6 in Innsbruck, Austria. 
Very well organized by the Austrian American Football Association, Switzerland was represented with an U17 boys and an U15 mixed team and both teams achieved higher ranking compared to last year. The U17 boys team finished the tournament 9th place and also our U15 mixed team finished amongst the 10 strongest European teams and achieved the 10. place. Both teams were developed through the SWISS NEXT GEN program, which was initiated in 2025. 
In summary a great experience for our young athletes with the SWISS NEXT GEN program now becoming the foundation of future development for our Swiss National Youth teams. A big thank you to IFAF and the Austrian organizers but also a special thanks to the parents, the coaches and particularly Andrea Carisch, the team manager, who together made all this happen with a strong level of (financial) commitment and initiative.
